Mosaic Glassworks is a creative mosaic arts studio for all ages pre-school through adult where you can create a one of a kind project, celebrate a birthday, register for classes or camp, or simply enjoy a fun night out with your friends. We also make commission pieces which can be uniquely designed for your home or a special gift.

Mosaic Glassworks was conceived by Wyckoff resident Lisa McLellan who grew up in Waldwick. Lisa spent the majority of her professional career based in NYC as a fashion designer. This experience led to extensive travel and exposure to beautiful textiles, prints and patterns which subsequently inspired her to pursue her passion for the art of mosaics. To expand her knowledge of the craft she studied further in NYC and began creating and selling one of a kind designs.

She introduced the art form to her children and spent endless hours developing fun projects with them. Lisa decided to share her love for mosaics with others by opening Mosaic Glassworks in May 2010.

Ron Ananian knows his craft. For over 25 years, motorists have received quality, honest work with a smile at Ron’s repair facility, R/A Automotive. “We fix everything but a broken heart,” says Ron. Drawing upon over 30 years of repair experience, he tells listeners about even further changes expected in the evolution of the automobile.

The media has called upon Ron to share his wealth of mechanical knowledge. He has been a featured expert on ABC’s 20/20, FOX Television’s Fox and Friends and Court TV and was a long-time columnist for New Jersey Automotive Magazine. Ron also hosted an auto repair call-in talk show on New York’s WFAS-AM radio and on DIY Network’s nationally syndicated program Classic Car Restoration.

Rainbow Corners has been around since 1963, when a group of Ramsey parents began taking turns watching one another’s children while they went to work or engaged in activities outside the home. After growing and developing into a formal preschool, RCNS found a permanent home at the Waldwick Methodist Church in 1981, and presently has 78 children between the ages of 2-1/2 and 5 enrolled.

Despite the recession, Rainbow Corners is going stronger than ever, as parents appreciate the non-profit cooperative school pricing and its flexible schedule.

Our parents, along with the educational staff, run the school. Parents are teachers’ aides in the classroom and even the ones that don’t co-op join committees or serve as board members. A committee can be anything from laundry to hospitality to maintenance.” It is definitely a hands-on school, owned by parents who are responsible for taking an active part in its operation.

Since parents help with the maintenance, such as cleaning the bathroom or bringing home all the smocks for laundering, tuition is lower in this cooperative school. However, the bigger bonus is that you get to see your child develop and grow right before your eyes.

Most of the teachers began as “co-op” mothers in the school, later becoming a teacher at the school. This year they even have children enrolled whose parents were students at Rainbow Corners in the past!

Rainbow Corners is the only co-op preschool in the area that is accredited by the National Association of Education of Young Children, which identifies the school, has having a high-quality program that has a safe and nurturing environment, which promotes the development of young children.

In addition to a traditional 9-11:30 am nursery school program, we also offer special programs like “Lunch and Play” and “Creative Capers” to extend and enrich a child’s school day. We also offer “Kindergarten Adventures”- a program for 1/2 day Kindergartners.
